Daniel Novello - Trouble

A wildly outrageous music video from up and coming pop artist, Daniel Novello. Brought to life by our Director of Photography, Jordan Li.

“I had worked with Daniel before on another music video (which hasn’t been released yet). We wrote the treatment together for that video, but for the most part, I had full creative freedom. This time around, Daniel wanted to be in the director seat, and wow is this man creative. You should’ve seen the faces I was making when I first read the treatment. “

- Jordan Li (Director of Photography)

We also worked with Daniel's graphic designer, Aldo Martinez, to produce these movie posters and lyric video for the roll-out of Trouble.

Jerome Bradley | Season One

SEASON ONE BY JEROME BRADLEY

Drawing inspiration from his hometown, New York City, Jerome Bradley utilizes simplicity, form and modern application in his debut collection, Season One by Jerome Bradley.

With the help from Salt cinematographers, Jordan Li and Phi Hyuhn, along with photographer, Neil Capanganan, these visuals were brought to life.

Highlighting the Season One tracksuits, we shot in the heart of downtown Atlanta to achieve a modern feel and made sure to utilize white/light backgrounds to make sure the pieces “popped”. We also made the decision to incorporate action shots to show off the versatility of the tracksuits as athleisure pieces.

Salt was established in 2017 as an art collective and has developed into a source of imagery and visuals to depict Atlanta life while deeply stirring thought in the millennial mind. We welcome everyone as we begin our journey to bring a new wave of creative visuals to Atlanta.

Unite ATL

While the world was watching #SuperBowl53, a sporting spectacle that’s one of the largest shared experiences in the US, a group of young people in Atlanta wanted to do something a little different.
I don’t think creatives know how much of an influence they have on the culture. What they do and what they create has a heavy influence on the youth. We have a great opportunity here to be role models.

Alessandro Tricone

More than just queer or genderless, it imbued the clothes with what we’re supposed to get out of them: feeling.

About the Designer

Alessandro Trincone (born May 6 1991 in Naples) is an Italian fashion designer and owner of the brand that bears his name. After graduating in 2012 with a degree in Costume and Fashion Studies from the University of “ La Sapienza” in Rome, he moved to Florence where he earned  a masters degree at the European Institute of Design (IED) and later his second graduation at the “Polimoda” in Fashion design. Eventually. he received a scholarship at the Osaka Bunka Fashion College in Japan where he found his authentic inspiration.

Growing up in the outskirts of Naples, where people around him looked at his creativity with strong scepticism was not easy. but that hostility only makes his artistic impulses stronger. Indeed, all the prejudices towards him and his creations endured during his teenage years are dragged into his art and beautifully transformed. That process becomes vital and it is where the concept of “genderless” came from. Using typically feminine fabrics like chiffon, silk and tulle on men becames his eccentric and recognisible sign.

In 2016 he won the “Vfiles Runway 7” contest in New York displaying his first official collection “Annodami”. On that occasion, he caught the eye of the Atlanta rapper Young Thug who chooses a particular piece of that collection for the cover of his album, “No my name is Jeffery”. The photo of the singer posing dramatically in a skirt-like garment and an umbrella-shape hat inspired by Japanese kimonos and trousers, shared on the Internet just before his album release, caused controversy whirls around the world since the outfit is considered too feminine and far from sterotypical rap culture. The cover became iconic and the controversial skirt the finest expression of the “blurrred –lines between genders” concept.

“Annodami” is followed by “Abbracciami” and “Agendermi” collections in 2017 and “Aroundmi” in 2018. Trincone also won the Fashionclash Festival 2016 in Maastricht, Fashionhall 2017 in Berlin and Charity Fashionshow 2017 in Cambridge. This will be his first show at New York Fashion Week.
